Creative: Director/Leader/Designer/Strategist

Making the right connections with people through empathy and really getting to know who they are is ever more critical. My driving creative philosophy is getting to the core of a challenge or business need and translating a smart solution into simple, effective communication. I’m an advocate of then testing and learning to optimize results.

I have brought this experience as a creative consultant to businesses, focusing on strategic solutions and the power of combining creativity with data insights and a touch of behavioral science. At the same time, I've been keeping my creative and design skills sharp by continuing to be hands-on when necessary.

I bring fresh thinking and straight talking. I can talk about business issues with CEOs and CMOs – with the ability to navigate highly regulated businesses and complex organizations.

It all started back in England, with a regional creative agency as an art director and designer before I joined some of London’s top agencies including Abbott Mead Vickers and OgilvyOne Worldwide. An opportunity to move across the pond saw me arrive at Ogilvy in Chicago as Creative Director. I moved my family and we stayed ever since.

After producing award-winning work for Unilever’s Suave business and Allstate Insurance, I joined Razorfish to work on Kraft’s digital business. Later as Group Creative Director at EuroRSCG, I managed and ran the Citibank, Kraft, and Bibby integrated accounts. I've also managed the entire creative services team at Rhea+Kaiser, (as ECD), stabilizing and growing the team and building a highly successful video production unit from scratch.

I have been fortunate to work with and learn from great writers like David Abbott, Ed McCabe, Neil French, Rory Sutherland, and other marvelous creative people.

Subsequently, awards for both creativity and effectiveness, have been won for my work. These include a D&AD Silver Pencil, Cannes, One Show, and Effies, amongst others.

Let's work together on something.
